My apologies: this is a poor overview of the people who were on the Titanic.  There are too many.  Any web search will generate countless stories and photographs.  There are also images of bodies, both pulled from the water after the disaster and found in 1985 when the wreckage was discovered.  I include only one which I feel is tasteful.  

The Titanic orchestra continued playing while the ship sunk to keep the passengers calm.  None survived.
